Pankaj Gupta elaborates on “3D of Life”
Pankaj Gupta, author of 3D of Life, continues his blog about his book and its message.
Do you have any particular literary influences that have helped you develop in your genre, subject and style?
In my journey, I got a chance to work with various folks and that brings me to understand their problems, culture and smaller nuances efficiently. It has really helped me while defining the character of the book or elaborating any situation. I love to talk about Indian culture but at the same time highlight the curse of the society as well.
What inspired you to write your book and how long did it take you to finish it?
This story was in my subconscious mind for a long time; however, I never took this brave step. Finally in 2010, I decided to start as I had to start from somewhere. It took almost four years as my IT profession kept me busy in other things.
This book touches the small-town and middle-class family, and most of us have come from the same background. I am sure, when readers will start reading it, they will correlate it to some of the incidents of their life and that will make it more interesting. So I would say that you read the book not just as I want you to read but to live the character, and I bet you will somewhere find it close to your heart. I want to convey to readers that you should live your life with a positive attitude, start appreciating your efforts and be positive in life.
Are you working on a sequel to your book?
I want to take a trilogy of this title but not so fast. Also it will not be like a sequel of same story but covering a similar kind of flow and messaging.
Finally, what advice would you give to aspiring authors, to help them write their books?
I think, if you have something in your mind, Go and write it. Do not keep your thoughts in your subconscious mind — let it come out and let the people know about it. Do not think that someone will come and put a red carpet for you and then you will start writing. My best wishes are with all the aspiring authors.
