Partridge India Author| Mukul Mukherjee, Exploring “The Himalayas” Pt 2
Partridge India returns with Mukul Mukherjee, author of Exploring “The Himalayas.”
What is the one message you would like to convey to your readers about your book?
I am grateful to readers for picking up the book, Exploring “The Himalayas”, The Land of High Passes, Ladakh. In doing so I hope that this book of mine may help you decide to live your life to the fullest. I hope at every turn of a page may help you leave your worries behind and work towards living in a reality that was once just a dream.
I hope the book helps to make a weighed choice rather than just by chance. That you design your life, striving to live it at its full than simply living each day by default. I hope that in a similar manner as mine, you may find the purpose to live on your own terms, marching always forward, accomplishing things that make you happy, braving the unexpected calmly, dealing with it as suits best. The book is all about achieving dreams in reality through passion and hard work.
“The water was icy cold and my feet were getting numb so I had to come out of the chilled water leaving my motorcycle stranded. She was still standing upright with the heavy loads without a stand”
The repetitive calling of the mighty Himalayas was irresistible to me and I set out, away from my mundane living, answering the call, testing my own endurance in exchange of witnessing the un-paralleled beauty of the Greater Himalayan Ranges and high mountain passes of the world . Facing extreme cold and witnessing unfathomed snow desert, I rode on, fulfilling a dream. From hotel rooms to sleeping in tents amidst nowhere.
Are you working on a sequel to your book?
The less explored magical Ladakh is still just a part of Himalayas. I am grateful to God that I am born in India and have access to major high mountain passes of the entire Himalayan range and shall be exploring the unexplored paths and passes one by one and make a sequel of every ride. Jai Hind!
Are there any events, marketing ideas or promotions planned for your book?
I think word of mouth over the internet and social media would be enough to talk about the book internationally. Also some digital marketing would be helpful. At the same time I am also focusing on promotion of my book via book launch by renowned Brands, Personalities and Press releases.
What was your favourite part of your publishing experience?
Receiving Foreword from renowned people, Mr. Sajjan Kumar, Sr. Vice President, Nikon – India, Mr. Mukesh Srivastav, Nikon Mentor & International Repute Photographer and Mr. Yogesh Sarkar, Founder of BCM Touring, made me feel proud about my book.
I was very much carried away emotionally while writing the Acknowledgement & Dedication part.
When published I was thrilled to see my book on Amazon.com. Definitely, the feeling is different when the dream and reality becomes together.
